Welcome back! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We have all sorts of fun things planned in the weeks to come before Christmas. Our classroom party is scheduled for December 20th from 9-10.  Set up will be at 8:30! I hope all of you can make it.  I will be sending home a note soon and my room Mom will be contacting you about volunteering for our party.  Here is what we have planned this week:

Sight Words: she, he

Reading Mini Lessons: We will be reading Gingerbread book and working in groups to make our own Gingerbread Men! We wil be discussing the story elements and introducing inferences.

Interactive Writing: How To Decorate a Tree!

Writer’s Workshop- How To Decorate a Tree! and Santa Letters

Math: Gingerbread Problem Solving, Favorite Christmas Song Graph

Science: Solids, Liquids, Gases ( we will be making snowman ornaments to show this)

A couple of quick reminders:

Tomorrow is Pajama Day, Thursday is dress like your favorite book character, and this Friday is wear maroon and white!

Don’t forget this Friday is our student led conferences. You will need to come in at the bottom at the Primary Office.  The primary doors will be open and you will come and sign in. Please be on time. We only have 15 minutes for each conference and I will try to stay as punctual as possible! Thank you and see you on Friday.

Math: We will generate numbers that are one more than or one less than another number

Math By Myself- Pumpkin Seeds Counting Story

Math With Someone: They will use 3d shapes and build a Haunted House

Math in Writing: Number Sequencing and Number Maps

This Thursday we will plant our pumpkin seeds.  We will go and find our pumpkins next Monday!
