Here is what we are learning this week:
Sight Words: see, me (review I, can, like, am, on, the) Please practice these at home also!
Number Talks: Ten Frames, Showing different ways to make numbers. Ex: tally marks, ten frames, dice, dominoes etc..
Interactive Writing: We will be sharing the pen and writing sentences using our sight words. Focusing in on fall sentences.
Shared Reading: Discussing the difference between letters, words, and sentences Focusing in on capital letters and punctuation
Math: We will begin talking about 3d shapes and still working on counting and one to 1
Writer’s Workshop: Penmanship- Numbers and Letters, Writing simple sentences using sight words
Social Studies/Science: Appleseed Craft, The Crayon Box that Talked

Can ya’ll believe there is only 3 more weeks of school? This year has flown by. Now that our fabulous Grandparent’s Day program is over, we are ready to be back on regular schedule! Here is what we are doing this week:
Sight Words: Review
Interactive Writing: Mother’s Day
Writer’s Workshop: Writing about our Moms
Math: Reviewing concepts that we have learned throughout the year
Science: Learning about Space, Wind, and Energy (getting prepared for our field trip to Ecoland)
We will be traveling to Ecoland this Wednesday for our field trip! I will be sending home a note tomorrow to let you know more information!

Important Things to Remember:
This Thursday is our Easter Party!! Set up is from 10:30-11. If you are able to come and help set up the classroom or hide eggs please do!! Party is from 11-12. Your child will also need to bring an Easter bag or sack to put their eggs in.. If you are unable to send the item I asked for please just let me know!
I hope everyone had a great Spring Break and I was so glad to see my sweet kinders! Don’t forget our class is in charge of the CHAMPS assembly on Friday. This will begin at 8:00 in the cafeteria. Please make sure to have your child here no later then 7:50! This week will be our first spelling test. Our words are: am, and, are, can, do and our bonus words are about and how.
